Nottingham Forest were pro-active during the summer transfer window, signing several new players for the season ahead.
One of those new additions was Portuguese starlet Diogo Goncalves who signed terms on a loan deal at the City Ground, with a view to signing permanently next season.
The 21-year-old hasn’t featured for the Reds since the opening week of the season, with Aitor Karanka making him wait patiently for a chance.

The international break might have acted as a milestone moment for the youngster however. The Forest man netted twice in Friday’s win over Liechtenstein, before capping a brilliant couple of games for the Portugal U21s by scoring a superb solo goal in a win over Bosnia.
His performances won’t have gone unnoticed from his club boss and he will hope to force his way into the team over the coming weeks.
Goncalves last featured for Forest in the League Cup win over Stoke City on what proved a bittersweet night for the winger. Having caused havoc to the Potters’ back line, he was harshly sent off and subsequently sat out of three games.
His suspension is now up, however, and his performances for his nation should see him in contention for a place in Karanka’s squad this weekend.
His superb individual effort against on Tuesday night saw him dance beyond six defenders before firing an unstoppable effort beyond the stranded goalkeeper.
The world of Twitter was mightily impressed by the Benfica academy graduate and a Tweet from Sport specialists TugaScout led to some enthusiasm from those of a Forest persuasion.
