Andreas Bouchalakis had an incredible start to his Nottingham Forest career. The Greek midfielder arrived from owner Evangelos Marinakis’ other side Olympiakos with a bang. His debut was in a 4-3 win against Brentford. He scored twice in the game, with two excellent long-range efforts.
However, that was as good as it got at the City Ground for the player.
Bouchalakis failed to score again and his performances dipped. Aitor Karanka’s arrival did not help. The Spaniard was not a fan and he eventually dropped the Greek midfielder.
This summer, his loan deal came to an end and Forest decided not to keep him on board.

Bouchalakis instead returned to Olympiakos, hoping to fight for a first-team place.
He has certainly made an impact this season. Forest fans were perhaps surprised to see one of the scorers against Burnley in the Europa League on Thursday night. Bouchalakis placed a header beyond Tom Heaton to give Olympiakos a 2-1 lead on the night.
His side went on to win 3-1, leaving Premier League Burnley a tough task in the second-leg at Turf Moor if they are to advance to the next round of the competition.
It could be, that after a poor end to his time at Forest, the 25-year-old goes on to play Europa League football this season
