Nottingham Forest fans split over interest in Ben Osborn

Nottingham Forest winger Ben Osborn is reportedly attracting interest from Sheffield United – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are split over whether they should sell him or not.

According to the Sun, Sheffield United have made a £3million bid for him this summer and want to sign him to help them with their promotion to the Premier League.

It is understood that Forest would want around £6million to allow his exit from the Cit yGround, but the player is entering the final year of his contract.

Osborn has come through the academy ranks with the Midlands club and played 230 senior games for them.

He is a left-winger by trade, but has tremendous defensive attributes and his versatility has often seen him drop into a left-back role when needed.

The hard-working 24-year-old has never played top-flight football before, but is being offered the chance by Sheffield United after they were promoted from the Championship last season.

Osborn was a regular in the side last season with 44 games across all competitions, scoring two goals and suppling six assists in return.

A selection of Forest fans on social media believe that they should keep Osborn for the new campaign and believe he’s a valuable member of the squad.

Meanwhile, others feel that they could afford his exit and that they can push for promotion without him.
