Nottingham Forest fans rip into Rafa Mir for performance

Rafa Mir earned a rare start for Nottingham Forest on Friday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter ripped into him for his performance.

The Reds ended up with a 2-2 draw away to Millwall in the Championship fixture and that means they stay fourth in the table.

Shaun Williams put the hosts in front after a dominant first-half from Millwall, but Forest substitute Lewis Grabban scored a brace to turn the game on its head.

His second was an 88th minute goal which appeared to have sealed three points, but Millwall equalised in stoppage time through Aiden O’Brien when he capitalised on a spill from goalkeeper Brice Samba.

A selection of Forest supporters on social media were fuming with the display of their attacker Mir.

The Spaniard earned just his second league start of the season away to Millwall and it was his 13th appearance across all competitions.

He moved to the City Ground in the summer on loan from Premier League side from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but has made very little impact and barely touched the ball for 62 minutes on Friday night before being substituted off.

The centre-forward is still waiting for his first Forest goal and teammate Grabban is miles ahead of him right now.
