Nottingham Forest fans praise defender Yuri Ribeiro for latest display
Nottingham Forest recorded a 2-2 away draw at Middlesbrough on Monday night in the Championship – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter praised defender Yuri Ribeiro for his performance.
The Reds had to settle for just a point in the league fixture, with Lewis Grabban netting an 86th minute equaliser for the visitors at the Riverside Stadium.
Ryan Yates had put Forest in front with his long-range strike, but Boro went into half-time with a 2-1 advantage due to goals from Rudy Gestede and Lewis Wing.
Sabri Lamouchi’s side avoided defeat though with Grabban’s late goal and now have brief time to recover before they play again on Friday night at home to Millwall in the league.
Forest now sit fourth in the table eight points behind second-placed Leeds United in the automatic promotion spots, but perhaps more importantly they are six points above seventh-placed Bristol City.
The Midlands club need to make sure that fishing in the play-offs is the minimum in their final 10 games of the season and needs to try regain some form after just one win in five games.

A selection of Forest supporters on social media gave Ribeiro credit despite a far from vintage display from their side on the road.
It was a difficult evening for the backline, but Ribeiro did look to attack when he could with his work-rate down the flank.
The 23-year-old left-back has really kicked on in the second half of the season at the City Ground to become a regular starter and is becoming a fan favourite now too.
Here are some Forest fans on Ribeiro:

Thought Ribeiro was our best player tonight. Also really impressed with Carvalho and Bostock when they came on. Need Sow back ASAP #nffc

I agree, but tbh he always gives his best even when the others are poor, ribeiro is usually t u e one that defends like a warrior, attacks forward, tries make things happen, best lb we had in years tbh he’s not injury prone as well https://t.co/AUSb0sVgdd

Nope figs and ribeiro played well apart from that. Theres no spark of creativity or general pressure on a team who havent won in 10 matches.

Grabban’s football brain is 32 years ahead of the rest of us. Carvalho was the spark we needed. @Yuri_oribeiro is swiftly becoming a favourite. Not as good as we needed to be, but we go again on friday #nffc

Milwall are always tough & Sow would make all the difference. I think if Sow & Joao start, we’ll win. Hope we get this…
