Nottingham Forest fans loved Lolley’s display in vital victory over fierce rivals Derby

Nottingham Forest grabbed the bragging rights over bitter rivals Derby County at the City Ground last night with a 1-0 victory.

They are now one point and one place behind the Rams after Yohan Benalouane’s second minute goal secured all three points for Martin O’Neill’s side.

It was a spirited performance by the home side, and Joe Lolley contributed majorly to that with a quality performance on the wing up against former England international Ashley Cole.

The former Chelsea and Arsenal man has come back to these shores to try and help his former club and international team-mate Frank Lampard, but ran into a winger in Lolley who is on red-hot form.

In his prime, Cole played up against the top wingers in the world and went toe-to-toe but his ageing legs struggled somewhat against Lolley, who showed once more why he is one of the most threatening attacking players in the second tier.
