Carl Jenkinson made his first appearance for Nottingham Forest in the Championship on Wednesday night, as Sabri Lamouchi’s side picked up a point away from home against Charlton Athletic – and Forest fans have reacted on Twitter.

Jenkinson finally left Arsenal in the summer to join Nottingham Forest for a fee believed to be in the region of £2million (Sun). He clocked up 70 appearances for the Gunners during his time in north London, and even earned a cap for England.

Jenkinson turned out in the Carabao Cup last week for the entire 90 minutes against Fleetwood Town, before being handed his first league start under Lamouchi on Wednesday night. Lyle Taylor gave Charlton the lead with a superb header from a corner.

But Forest did earn a point, as Albert Adomah scored his first goal for Forest, lashing home a loose ball as Charlton struggled to clear a corner. It leaves Forest with five points from their first four games – five behind leaders Leeds United.

Nottingham Forest fans have reacted on Twitter to Jenkinson’s debut for Forest, though many were underwhelmed with the former West Ham United loanee. Indeed, Jenkinson looked unfit according to some fans.
