Nottingham Forest fans hail ‘faultless’ defender Jack Robinson

Jack Robinson slotted in at centre-back for Nottingham Forest in the draw against Derby County on Monday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter hailed him for the quality of his performance.

The 25-year-old is a left-back by trade, but filled in at the heart of defence to help his side record a 0-0 draw away at their fierce rivals.

Aitor Karanka’s side are now just a point outside the play-off positions in seventh and are hoping to be in the promotion picture by the end of the season.

Forest had their opportunities to earn three points away to Derby and Joe Lolley was almost the hero when he hit the crossbar late in the contest.

A selection of Forest fans on social media have singled out Robinson for special praise after his solid display in the backline.

The 25-year-old only moved to the City Ground in the summer and has become an important member of the side since.

He’s a regular in the side usually at the full-back, but has now proven his versatility and is an even more valuable member of the squad.
