Nottingham Forest fans consider move for Leeds United ace ahead of January window

Eddie Nketiah is reportedly set to leave Leeds United and rejoin parent club Arsenal in the January transfer window with The Gunners unimpressed at his lack of action – and Nottingham Forest fans have considered a move on Twitter.

The Bristol Post has claimed that 20-year-old Nketiah is to leave Leeds United next month, after starting just one Championship match all season since he joined the Whites on loan from Arsenal. He has, though, managed 18 appearances.

But only three of those have come as starts, with the two others coming in the Carabao Cup. He has netted five times, but failed to do so in his only Championship start – Sunday’s 5-4 win over Birmingham City.

Nketiah was expected to start earlier in the season but suffered an abdominal problem, which kept him sidelined for a few weeks. He would have surely started more games, had it not been for the muscle injury.

Now, the report claims Bristol City are interested in Nketiah and are frontrunners for the England Under-21 star’s signature. But Sheffield Wednesday, Brentford and Nottingham Forest are also interested in Nketiah.

Forest fans reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their club is in the running to sign Nketiah from Arsenal, with many discussing the potential signing on Twitter. Some feel he would be a good signing, others are unsure if he would join.
