Nottingham Forest slipped to their first home defeat of the 2018/19 campaign on Saturday after a 2-1 defeat to Norwich City.

Such is the nature of the demanding Championship, the Reds have an immediate chance to make amends when the travel to Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday evening.

Boss Aitor Karanka will be keen to see his charges offer a reaction following their previous underwhelming display and changes could be made to his team.

Saidy Janko

The Swiss right-back has looked calm and composed since arriving at the club on loan from Porto.

The 23-year-old was an unused substitute at the weekend but could return to the starting line-up for the trip to Bolton Wanderers.

Tendayi Darikwa was given the runaround by Norwich City’s tricky wingers at the weekend and the strength of Janko might be a more useful asset for Forest at the Macron Stadium.

Adlene Guedioura

The Algerian midfielder was a surprise exclusion from Saturday’s team and his presence was sorely missed.

Boss Karanka surely won’t be naive enough to start with Jack Colback and Ben Watson together again, with Guedioura looking likely to be restored to the starting line-up.

The 32-year-old has been in tremendous form so far this season and his battling qualities will be vital against a physical Bolton outfit.

Michael Dawson

Forest looked hapless at defending set-pieces in the weekend defeat to Norwich and it seems extremely likely that a change will be made at the heart of the back four.

Dawson possesses more height than both Michael Hefele and Danny Fox and it seems only a matter of time before he gets a proper run in the team.

The 34-year-old boasts Premier League and international experience and a youthful Forest could certainly benefit from his presence on the pitch.
