Nottingham Forest are interested in a move for Scunthorpe United midfielder Funso Ojo this month, according to the Nottingham Post.
They report that Forest are ready to battle bitter rivals Derby County for the 27-year-old’s signature, as both clubs have been impressed by his strong form so far this season.
Ojo has been a near ever-present for the Iron this term, and while his best position is as a central midfielder, he can also anchor the midfield as well as playing out on the left as well.
And the arch-rivals both feel he could add steel to their midfield as they go in search of a play-off place in the Championship this season.

Martin O’Neill’s emotional homecoming endured a false start at the City Ground on Saturday, as Forest slipped to a 1-o defeat at home to Bristol City and doubts remain over his ability to do a job in the Championship after such a long time away.
So he needs something to kick his reign into life – and while results on the pitch are plainly the most important thing for the former Republic of Ireland manager – beating Derby to a prime target would be a boost right at the start of his tenure.
