One Arsenal player admitted that he is not entirely sure that he can be happy with his performance despite the Gunners beating West Ham 6-0 on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta could have hardly wished for a better afternoon at the London Stadium. Of course, the same ground provided the stage for a pivotal game in the Premier League title race last season.

Perhaps it may prove to be again this term. But this time, Arsenal were able to celebrate a huge win.

Bukayo Saka not happy with his performance in Arsenal win

Bukayo Saka was the only player to score twice in the victory. But it seems that he was not entirely happy with his display against the Hammers.

Speaking to Super Sunday (broadcast on Sky Sports; 11/2; 16:05), Saka suggested that he was extremely pleased to bring up his half-century of goals for Arsenal. However, he felt that he should have had even more in the game.

“To be honest, I’m really happy to achieve that. But I’m not sure I can be happy today, I missed some chances that I feel I could have scored. But obviously, it’s a great achievement, so I’m proud of that,” he said.

Every Gunners players left goals out there

Unfortunately for West Ham, every single Arsenal player was probably coming off that pitch thinking that they missed out in front of goal.

Arsenal were superb. And they showed the ruthless touch that they have often arguably lacked over the last couple of years.

However, West Ham were shambolic. They completely fell apart towards the end of the first-half. And they never recovered from there.

And unsurprisingly, Arsenal seemed to take their foot off the gas towards the end of the second-half. The likes of Mohamed Elneny and Cedric Soares came on, as did Ethan Nwaneri.

The scoreline could have been a lot, lot worse for West Ham – and not just because Saka let a few opportunities pass him by.
