Liverpool ace Trent Alexander-Arnold has made it into Alan Shearer’s latest Premier League Team of the Week.

The Reds right-back delivered an impressive display on Sunday as Jurgen Klopp’s charges won 3-0 at Leeds.

Alexander-Arnold regularly surged down the right flank and gave the opposition no end of trouble.

In addition, the 21-year-old provided a great ball across goal for Mohamed Salah to fire home the opener.

And Alexander-Arnold played a big part in the second goal too, picking out Virgil van Dijk before Fabinho finished.

The £180,000-a-week star’s efforts led to him unsurprisingly making Shearer’s Team of the Week.

“Liverpool’s right-back created the opening goal and did not put a foot wrong all match,” wrote the Premier League legend.

Another Reds player made the cut alongside Alexander-Arnold – Thiago Alcantara.

Liverpool’s victory over Leeds saw them go up to third in the Premier League table.

The top four in the table – Manchester United, Chelsea, the Reds and Everton – are all on 10 points.

Liverpool are next in action on Wednesday night when they host AC Milan at Anfield in the Champions League.

The Reds then host Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.
