‘Not good’, Bad news’: Manchester City fans react as Ilkay Gundogan ruled out

Manchester City fans were reeling a bit yesterday after Pep Guardiola confirmed that Ilkay Gundogan is likely to miss the trip to Everton this evening.

The City boss confirmed that while the injury Gundogan picked up at the weekend looks like nothing serious, he is not set to travel with the squad tonight given the busy fixture schedule coming up.

City return to Champions League action this month. Guardiola is well known for rotating his squad around these times, meaning Gundogan is not someone he’ll want to put at any risk.

But City fans on Twitter didn’t seem too happy to hear their man is out. And while some were pleased at it looking like just being the one game Gundogan might miss, others seemed far more upset to see their star man out of action.
