Norwich fans react to Tottenham loanee Oliver Skipp’s Championship debut

Tottenham Hotspur fans will be delighted to see the way that some of the Norwich City supporters reacted on Twitter after watching Oliver Skipp make his debut for the club.

The Canaries opened their Championship campaign with a 1-0 win at Huddersfield on Saturday. The game also saw Skipp make his first appearance for Daniel Farke’s side after not featuring in their Carabao Cup defeat last weekend.

And it proved to be a debut to remember for the youngster. He was named Norwich’s man of the match by supporters. shows that he made 28 successful passes during the game. Teemu Pukki was the only Norwich starter to boast a better pass-completion rate than the 19-year-old.

Skipp went into the game knowing that he could potentially need a superb performance to cement a spot in the side. Farke boasts enormous depth in his squad, and Alex Tettey has been a stalwart for a number of years.

But Tettey proved to be an unused substitute at the John Smith’s Stadium. And in truth, it would appear that many Norwich fans would be happy to see him kept out of the side.

Many took to social media to laud the Spurs loanee. They believe that he is going to be a fantastic signing as they look to make an immediate return to the Premier League.

Some are already bracing themselves for the agony of when he returns to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Perhaps optimistically, one supporter implored the club to spend every penny on signing Skipp permanently.

The early signs suggest that Norwich, or any other club for that matter, will have absolutely no chance of being able to convince Spurs into selling the teenager.

Here is how some of the Norwich fans reacted to Skipp’s bow for the club…
