Championship leaders Norwich City suffered a surprise defeat away to Luton Town on Wednesday night – but some of their fans on Twitter did at least praise their Tottenham loanee Oliver Skipp for his individual performance.
Norwich, who are currently top of the second-tier, were beaten 3-1 away to mid-table side Luton in front of a home crowd of 1,000 supporters.
Skipp, who is on a season-long loan at Carrow Road from Spurs, completed 90 minutes yet again for Norwich and has started every single league game so far this season for them.
He was kept busy in the centre of the park by a tireless midfield, but showed some neat touches on the ball and even ended up in a wide right position late on.
The 20-year-old midfielder is getting regular minutes at Championship level with a Norwich side aiming for promotion straight back to the Premier League and he’s quickly established himself as a key figure.
Despite his youth, the central midfielder already looks a senior presence in the Norwich XI and Spurs should be extremely positive about the way he’s developing this season.

A selection of Norwich supporters on social media did give Skipp some credit after their side’s loss.
Here are some Norwich fans discussing Skipp:
