‘North London is red’: Serge Gnabry trolls Tottenham on Twitter after decimating them on the pitch

Tottenham Hotspur are reeling after being dealt a thrashing in the Champions League against Bayern Munich. The German champions tore Spurs apart in London, eventually running out 7-2 winners.

It did not help matters that the star player on the night was a former Arsenal player.

Serge Gnabry ran riot against Spurs, scoring four of Bayern’s seven goals in a display that left Arsenal fans both pleased and disappointed.

Gunners fans would have been pleased to see a player who spent five years at the club destroying Spurs. However, the disappointment with Gnabry is in the fact he is no longer an Arsenal player.

Wanting more regular football, Gnabry left Arsenal in 2016 for Werder Bremen and from there headed to Bayern Munich.

But he still clearly has an affinity for Arsenal, as his trolling tweet after the game shows.

Gnabry declared that North London is red, although on this occasion he was referring to Bayern’s Bavarian colours.

Whilst Arsenal and Tottenham fans can now argue over North London superiority the truth is that Gnabry deserves all the praise he gets from this excellent display.

Arsenal fans will just wish that Arsene Wenger had managed to convince Gnabry to stay back in 2016. But perhaps he needed to leave the Gunners in order to achieve the level he is currently playing at.

Either way, Arsenal fans certainly enjoyed his performance this evening.
