A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that Thiago Alcantara is not in contention for the Reds’ upcoming Premier League fixture.
The Spanish ace joined Liverpool in September but, to date, has only made two appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Thiago has been unfortunate with illness and injury, and has not played since being sidelined in the Merseyside derby draw with Everton in mid-October following a challenge by Richarlison.

Ahead of Sunday’s Premier League meeting with West Brom at Anfield, Liverpool provided a fitness update on some of their players.
Although James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri could be considered for the game, Klopp confirmed the Reds will continue to err on the side of caution with Thiago.
“Thiago made his first steps back towards team training,” the Liverpool boss told the club media team.
“He is not involved in the full session but makes good steps and after, unfortunately, the long time he is out now, we cannot and will not rush it.
“Thiago will not be involved (against West Brom), he has to first be in full training sessions and then we start thinking about it. He is not too far away, I hope.”
The news came as a disappointment to Liverpool fans, with some taking to social media to give their thoughts:
