A number of Celtic fans have criticised Chris Sutton for his tweet in wake of the Hoops’ loss to Rangers in today’s Premiership clash at Parkhead.
Neil Lennon’s charges, who have a game in hand on Rangers, were hoping to leapfrog Steven Gerrard’s side at the top of the table.

However, Celtic were comprehensively outplayed as the Ibrox side recorded a 2-0 win, defender Connor Goldson scoring a brace.
The Bhoys were missing several players including Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie and Christopher Jullien, with academy graduate Stephen Welsh drafted into defence.
Sutton alluded to Celtic’s depleted ranks in his tweet, which congratulated Rangers for beating the Hoops “reserves”.
Such a tweet was always going to get some criticism from Gers fans, but some Celtic supporters also disagreed with the former Bhoys forward and Hoops-leaning pundit.
Celtic are next in action on Thursday when they host AC Milan in the Europa League.
