Noel Whelan claimed that Leeds United were a “pleasure to watch” in their 5-0 victory over West Brom on Tuesday night.

The Whites annihilated West Brom at the Hawthorns 5-0 in the Premier League fixture, as two of the newly-promoted teams faced off.

Marcelo Bielsa’s team raced into a four-goal advantage by half-time with a stunning display of finishing and as a result they are now up to 11th in the league table after a second consecutive win.

The Yorkshire club have been the division’s top entertainers so far this year, scoring 30 goals and conceding 30 goals in their 16 league matches so far.

Whelan gave his response on Twitter to the Leeds masterclass at West Brom, which has given them major confidence going into their weekend fixture against West Brom

TBR’s View:

Leeds’ gung-ho approach is going to backfire on them during certain parts of the season, but Argentine boss Bielsa isn’t going to drastically shift his philosophy and there is no need to do so.

They are showing more than enough quality to suggest they will comfortably avoid relegation this year and a mid-table finish would represent an excellent return to the top-flight.

Despite having the second worst defensive record in the league, they have still managed six clean sheets.

It’s a much tougher ask trying to find the right balance between defence and attack against the big teams, as they’ve got the quality to punish any small mistakes.
