Leeds United have reached the fourth round of the League Cup after overcoming Fulham on penalties.
The Whites were eager to progress in the competition and earn a confidence boost in wake of their Premier League struggles.
Marcelo Bielsa’s charges were certainly made to work for the result as neither side could be separated after 90 minutes.

Leeds began brightly, with full debutant Crysencio Summerville setting Tyler Roberts for an effort which was saved.
Rodrigo then attempted to convert on the rebound, but he wasn’t able to position himself to make the most of it.
Rodrigo had several efforts to break the deadlock in the match, while Josh Onomah and Neeskens Kebano came close for the hosts.
In the end, it had to go to penalties, there wasn’t much between Leeds and Fulham in the shootout either.
But Illan Meslier proved the hero at Craven Cottage as he saved the final penalty from Rodrigo Muniz.
