Arsenal may not be in the best of form at the moment, but this has still been a good season so far for the Gunners.
Three losses in their last five games does cast a shadow over it, but, at the same time, they’re still only two points off the top of the league.
There’s been a lot to like about Arsenal this season, and one of their standout performers has undoubtedly been Declan Rice.
Speaking on TNT Sports, Rio Ferdinand has been discussing his Premier League Player of the Season so far, and he says that Rice is the man he would pick.
Interestingly, Ferdinand made a point about Rice’s pricetag, claiming that nobody is even talking about his record transfer fee at the moment due to how well he is playing.

Nobody talks about Rice’s price
Ferdinand discussed the midfielder.
“I can’t go too far away from Declan. The difference he has made, is there anyone else who has made as big an impact with the pricetag as well, that £100m, how many of us in the media or at home talk about it being big money or a big pricetag, nobody mentions it, and that’s a testament to how good he is,” Ferdinand said.
No need to
Sometimes there’s no real need to talk about a player’s price.
You only really bring it up when a player is a massive flop or an absolute bargain, and Rice doesn’t fit into either of those categories.
He was very expensive at £105m, but he’s delivered for Arsenal so far this season, and the Gunners have got what they paid for so far.
His form has dipped as of late, but the fact that Ferdinand has picked him as his Player of the Season so far tells you just how good he has been since arriving at the Emirates.
