Tottenham Hotspur suffered one of the worst results in their recent history last night as they were eliminated from the Europa League at the last-16 stage.
Jose Mourinho’s charges led Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 from the first leg, Harry Kane’s brace last Thursday putting Spurs in pole position to qualify for the quarter-finals.
And come half time in the second leg in Croatia, Tottenham were still looking good value to get through the tie as the game remained goalless.

However, Spurs completely collapsed after the interval as Mislav Orsic opened the scoring just after the hour with a fierce curling effort.
The 28-year-old then made it 2-2 on aggregate in the 82nd minute, slotting home from Iyayi Atiemwen’s cross to send the game into extra time.
And in the 106th minute, Orsic slammed another powerful effort for his hat-trick, which sealed Dinamo’s progress to the last eight.
BBC Sport pundit and Spurs icon Gary Lineker was shocked by the result, and wrote the following comment on social media:
The defeat marks a torrid five days for Tottenham, who were beaten 2-1 in the North London derby last Sunday.
Up next for Spurs is Sunday’s Premier League trip to Aston Villa.
