Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Daily Mail revealed that Everton and Crystal Palace are interested in Marvelous Nakamba.
What’s the story?
Well, judging by the reaction below, the Villa Park faithful would be furious if Dean Smith cashed in on the Zimbabwean.
The Daily Mail believe the Villans are reluctant to sell, although Rafa Benitez and Patrick Vieira are keen to test their resolve.
7 Transfers You Might Have Missed During Euro 2020
Nakamba only made nine Premier League starts last season, and recorded 13 appearances in England’s top-flight in total.
Interestingly, the Villans won nine of the 13 Premier League games in which the 27-year-old featured, which is pretty impressive.
Clearly, Nakamba has a huge impact on Smith’s side.
It’s obvious, in that respect, why the Aston Villa fans want to keep him.
Idrissa Gueye 2.0?

The last defensive midfielder Everton signed from Aston Villa turned out to be quite good – Idrissa Gueye.
The Toffees landed the Senegal international for just £8m, before selling him to Paris Saint-Germain for £29m.
Aston Villa paid £11m for Nakamba.
The Daily Mail do not mention a fee, although if Benitez or Vieira can sign him for somewhere in the region of that sum, it would be a bargain akin to the Gueye deal.

In our view, he’d be a great signing.
Nakamba is right in the midst of his prime years, and his cameo displays in the Midlands have earned him the right to want regular first-team football.
For now, let’s see how the Aston Villa fans on Twitter reacted to the news…
