Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club tweeted a very encouraging photo of Eberechi Eze at St George’s Park.

What’s the story?

Well, it was just a photo of the £19.5m man walking around St George’s Park, but some eagled-eyed fans noticed something positive.

Eze can be seen without a protective boot, nor is he using crutches, following a serious injury to his Achilles.

As The Athletic wrote, the 22-year-old was expected to miss a huge chunk of the 2021/22 campaign after suffering the problem in training.

While there has been no concrete update on that timeframe, it does seem as if Eze is making fantastic progress.

Once he’s back, Crystal Palace could cause chaos

Once the silky playmaker is back, Patrick Vieira’s Eagles could cause absolute chaos in attack.

A frontline of Eze, along with Wilfried Zaha, Michael Olise and Christian Benteke, has the potential to strike fear into opponents.

It’s an attack full of flamboyant street footballers, with a focal point up front for them to play off.

Things are looking very exciting at Selhurst Park – hopefully, we’ll see Eze back in action before 2021 is over.

For now, let’s see how the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter reacted to the photo…
