A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to news that Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero trained on Friday ahead of their meeting with Spurs in the League Cup final this weekend.
Tottenham face the Citizens in Sunday’s showpiece encounter at Wembley Stadium, with Ryan Mason hoping to end a 13-year trophy drought in only his second game in charge of the Spurs first team.
City had injury worries prior to the game as De Bruyne limped off with an ankle problem last weekend in the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea, while Aguero has missed the last five matches with a calf strain.

“Both Sergio and Kevin trained today,” Pep Guardiola told his pre-match press conference, as quoted by Goal.com. “Today was [Sergio’s] first training session for two weeks. Tomorrow is the last training session and then we’ll decide.”
Given City face Paris Saint-Germain away in the Champions League on Wednesday, followed by Crystal Palace away in Saturday’s early kickoff and PSG at home the following Tuesday, Guardiola has some thinking to do in terms of team selection.
The Spaniard has already confirmed that Zack Steffen will start in goal against Spurs instead of Ederson, and he’ll have tough decisions to make in terms of outfield players too.
And some Spurs fans reckon Guardiola may not even start De Bruyne on Sunday, while others are worried that he’s available:
