Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Mateusz Musialowski signed his first professional contract with the Reds.
What’s the story?
Well, the 17-year-old has been rewarded for his fantastic debut season on Merseyside with a professional contract.
After arriving from SMS Lodz in August, Musialowski scored 12 goals in 25 games, while also providing three assists.
One of the Polish forward’s strikes earned him the Under-18 Premier League Goal of the Season award.
The teenager breezed past a number of black and white shirts, in Lionel Messi-like fashion, before firing the ball into the top-left corner.
Musialowski also scored a fine goal against Arsenal at Anfield in the FA Youth Cup quarter-final.
Just by watching footage of him play, you can tell Jürgen Klopp has a special talent in the ranks.
Will Mateusz Musialowski be in the first-team next season?

In our view, the Polish wonderkid won’t be involved in Klopp’s first-team next season.
He’s only had one season at the club, and played all of his football in the Under-18 setup.
As a result, we feel he probably needs a season playing Under-23 football before Liverpool can think about getting him involved in the first-team.
Someone like Harvey Elliott, who experienced regular, first-team football at Blackburn last term, is surely on the fringes of Klopp’s team.

However, it’s early days in Musialowski’s Liverpool career, and we feel it would be far too hasty to throw him into the deep end right now.
Besides, with the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in the team, there’s no rush to get Musialowski involved.
For now, let’s see how the Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted to the club’s announcement…
