'No to Mo': Chris Sutton makes 'crazy' claim about Liverpool star Salah
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is in the form of his life and not many people will bet against him scoring against Brighton today. Chris Sutton, however, has made a pretty crazy prediction.
Salah is undoubtedly the best player in the world at the moment. He has been absolutely incredible since the start of the season and his numbers show that he should be in the conversation for the Ballon d’Or.
The Egyptian has scored 15 goals and five assists in just 12 appearances this season. That’s an outrageous return for any player, let alone someone who plays on the wings more often than not.
Most Fantasy Premier League players will have Salah as their captain, but Sutton has ‘warned’ them all on Twitter.
Sutton: Salah’s goals will dry up
The official Fantasy Premier League website shows that 70 per cent of users have Salah in their team.
The Liverpool man has accumulated 107 points so far, which is staggering considering that the second-best performers are Leicester City star Jamie Vardy and West Ham United’s Michail Antonio with 57 points each.
Sutton, however, believes Salah’s remarkable form will dry up. He has urged his followers to captain Kevin de Bruyne from now, not the Liverpool star who is the most picked player in FPL this season.
FPL fans react
Most FPL fans are dumbstruck by Sutton’s tweet.
While almost every other player in the world is urging you to captain Salah, the BBC pundit’s suggestion, which may have just been a joke to wind up Liverpool fans, seems ‘crazy’ to many.
Here’s how a few of them reacted on Twitter…
