‘No thanks’: Liverpool fans play down surprise links with Sergio Ramos

Liverpool have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks but yesterday’s report from 90Min that suggests the Reds are interested in Sergio Ramos is quite surprising.

The report claims that Liverpool are among a host of Premier League clubs who have made their feelings known when it comes to Ramos.

Ramos, 34, is yet to sign a new deal with the Spanish giants. He is expected to have an offer from Los Blancos, while PSG are also said to be courting him with the lure of a hefty contract offer.

The ‘big six’ are all said to have told Ramos’ representatives that they’d be keen on a deal for Ramos if he fancies a move to England. However, given his wages, stature in the game, and how settled he is in Spain, a move to England looks unlikely.

And that is something that Liverpool fans were keen to point out on Twitter when the news broke yesterday.
