It has been reported this week that Tottenham Hotspur were looking into the potential signature of Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic from Fulham in January. TEAMtalk suggested Spurs had offered £27 million to sign the player from the Cottagers, with that interest set to carry over into the summer.
Spurs clearly need another striking option, even after their recent success in the absence of Harry Kane. The Fulham man would undoubtedly fulfill that role.
It is also no surprise that Tottenham would be interested in the player considering his record against Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

Mitrovic has proven a thorn in the side of Spurs when he has faced them with both Newcastle United and Fulham. In four appearances against Tottenham, he has scored three goals and assisted two, including one of each in the infamous 5-1 win for the Magpies on the final day of the 2015-16 season.
Tottenham, therefore, know just how dangerous the bullish and ruthless frontman can be when he is in his best form.
At just 24-years-old his best years remain ahead of him and Tottenham would be right to invest in his services.
