Liverpool vice-captain James Milner heaped praise on Takumi Minamino after his brace against Norwich City in the FA Cup last night.
The Reds went into the game yesterday with all the confidence in the world thanks to their Carabao Cup triumph just a few days ago.
Nobody really expected anything other than a Liverpool win yesterday and Jurgen Klopp’s side, thanks to Minamino’s two well-taken goals, did not disappoint the home fans.
Milner raved about the Japan international after the game and revealed that he’s brilliant in training ‘every single day’.
James Milner: Takumi Minamino is brilliant in Liverpool training
Speaking after the game last night, Milner said, as per Liverpool’s official website: “He’s a great guy. What a guy, what a player.
“He’s been patient. Obviously, with the players we have, there’s competition all over the field. But every time he comes in, he’s ready and he delivers. He’s such a nice guy. You’re delighted for him every time he scores.
“He just carries on. Every single day he’s at that level. He’s brilliant in training, [has a] great temperament [and] no matter what’s happening, you can rely on him.
“He comes in and keeps scoring goals – and important goals as well. Absolutely delighted for him to get those two.”

Minamino was a star for Liverpool in the Carabao Cup this season but Jurgen Klopp didn’t even bring him on in the final of the competition on Sunday.
That would’ve been a sad moment for the Japan international but the fact that he put his head down and worked hard instead of just sulking shows why the Liverpool boss rates him so highly.
Minamino started for the Reds yesterday and he put in a complete performance. He scored both goals and helped his side get into the next round of the competition.
Liverpool take on West Ham on Saturday and it will be interesting to see if Klopp will give Minamino a start.
