Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers are just two of many clubs who have been linked with Benfica starlet Joao Felix this season.
According to The Mirror, all of the top six Premier League clubs bar Tottenham Hotspur have been scouting Felix. And a separate report by The Mirror confirmed Wolves’ interest in the teenage sensation.
After last night’s performance, there can be no excuses. Both Liverpool and Wolves must do all they can to land one of the world’s brightest prospects.
Felix became the Europa League’s youngest-ever player to score a hat-trick last night when he helped Benfica to a 4-2 win.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder scored a penalty to open the scoring before finding the net twice more against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League quarter-final.
It seems remarkable that Felix only made his senior debut this season. In 31 games, he has scored 14 goals and provided five assists.
This is a scarily impressive tally for someone of such a young age playing from midfield and the sky is the limit for Felix.
The Portugal youth international has also earned his first senior national call-up to highlight just how good he can be.
According to The Mirror, Benfica will not sell Felix for less than £105m. But he is showing all the early signs that he could well justify that price tag.
