‘No doubt at all’: David Seaman wants Arsenal to sign Wilfried Zaha

Arsenal legend, David Seaman, has backed Wilfried Zaha for a move to The Emirates and has ‘no doubt’ he’d prove a hit for the Gunners.

Zaha, 28, has long been touted for a move to Arsenal and is a Gunners fan, too, strengthening those discussions further. However, as yet, no formal offers have ever come about and Zaha remains a Palace player.

It was claimed in the summer that Zaha might be on his way out. The Sun claimed in the summer that Everton and Arsenal were pursuing the winger, with Palace apparently lowering their previous £100m valuation.

And Seaman, talking to the Target Men podcast today, believes Zaha would be a welcome addition at his former club.

“I think Zaha would be a good addition to Arsenal because he’s a proven goal-scorer. I don’t know the reason why it hasn’t happened as he obviously wants to come. Whether it’s the agents and clubs not agreeing certain things, that must be the reason, but he’s made it clear that he wants to come as he’s an Arsenal fan.

“He would be a good addition, no doubt at all”.

Zaha has been integral for Palace once again this season, scoring five goals already for Roy Hodgson’s men.

If Arsenal are going to sign Zaha and get him at his best, then the time is now for them to move. At 28, he’s in his prime and his form with Palace this season demonstrates that.

The problem the Gunners have is making room for Zaha. Nicolas Pepe would probably need to go, while the club also signed Willian in the summer.

However, as Seaman says, Zaha would make a difference and if the Gunners can get him, then they should.
