Aston Villa have the option to sign Kortney Hause permanently but must make a decision by the Thursday deadline, according to The Express and Star.
Hause spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. The Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee played 12 times, scored once and helped improve the defence.
Alongside Tyrone Mings (on loan from Bournemouth), Hause impressed in central defence. The left-footed defender is also able to play at full-back making him a useful option.
And he will only cost £3m, as per this report, for Aston Villa to sign permanently. However, Wolves have given Aston Villa until Thursday to decide on Hause’s future.
The 23-year-old has played 80 games for Wolves since his 2013 move to Molineux. But he has fallen down the pecking order and his future looks bleak.
Aston Villa, who won promotion to the Premier League, could bring him back to Villa Park. Dean Smith needs to make his decision soon, though, and then agree on personal terms with the player.
Here are several tweets from Aston Villa fans discussing whether Hause would be a good addition.
£3mill? Seems like a no brainer.

Should be a no brainer. Played well last season, still young and can almost certainly sell him on for more than we’ll buy him for
