Arsenal are reportedly in the hunt to sign Paris Saint-Germain youngster Christopher Nkunku.
L’Equipe have reported (via The Sun) that the Gunners are now in talks over a loan move to north London for the French starlet, after their proposed deal for Denis Suarez hit the stumbling blocks.
Nkunku saw a decent amount of game time at the Parc des Princes earlier in the season, but hasn’t featured in any of the champions’ last four Ligue 1 matches.
His last start came against AS Monaco in early November.
Recently the player’s agent suggested his client would be open to moving to the Premier League, as a result of the new lack of game time.
Nkunku would bring energy and drive
Arsenal signing Nkunku would potentially freshen up their midfield.
At the moment, Unai Emery’s side are a bit lethargic in there. Lucas Torreira has been superb, but his primary job is to break up play and then start attacks.
There is currently no one with an ability to drive the team forwards, something that Nkunku is more than capable of.
The star is a great ball carrier and has high stamina levels.
Emery has worked with Nkunku of course and knows all about the qualities he brings.
With PSG reportedly in pole position to sign Leandro Paredes, then Arsenal could well snap him up this month.
