Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after watching footage of Gabriel Martinelli in action for Brazil last night.
What happened?
Well, in a friendly clash ahead of the Olympic Games, Arsenal’s No.35 scored his first goal for his country.
Dani Alves executed an incredible no-look cross to the back post, where the ball was then headed across goal for Martinelli to tap in.
Some might argue that it was an easy goal.
However, you have to get yourself in the right positions, and there’s no doubting that Martinelli’s instincts in the box are razor sharp.
Hopefully, this will give the 20-year-old plenty of confidence going into the Olympic Games next week.
Mikel Arteta must play Gabriel Martinelli more

With the 2021/22 campaign on the horizon, Mikel Arteta has to give Martinelli more first-team minutes.
Whenever the South American forward plays, he always catches the eye.
Martinelli’s intensity, ability to run in behind, and also his positional awareness are fantastic for someone so young.

Admittedly, he was injured in the first half of last season. However, after his return, Arteta only gave Martinelli seven Premier League starts.
In our view, if Willian starts over Martinelli again in 2021/22, questions have to be asked.
For now, let’s see how the Arsenal fans on Twitter reacted to Martinelli’s goal…
