Eddie Nketiah and Gjanni Alioski were amongst those to send messages to Leif Davis on Instagram after Leeds United announced that the defender had joined Bournemouth on loan on Tuesday.
Davis may well have already made his final appearance for the Whites. The 21-year-old has joined the Cherries on a deal that includes an option to buy.

Of course, that likely means that if he impresses, Leeds will lose him permanently.
Meanwhile, if he is unable to earn a long-term switch with Scott Parker’s side, it is hard to imagine Davis being able to force his way back into Marcelo Bielsa’s plans back at Elland Road.
So it appears to be a hugely significant deal for Davis’s future – despite initially being a loan.

A number of Leeds stars responded after the left-back took to Instagram to comment on the move.
The likes of Kalvin Phillips, Luke Ayling and Robin Koch all wished Davis well.
But there were also responses from former Whites players, including Gjanni Alioski and Eddie Nketiah.
With that in mind, here is Davis’s post, as well as some of the responses…

Leeds have made best decision for Leif Davis after accepting loan to buy deal
It would have surely been easy for Bielsa to keep Davis. The youngster looks to have a lot of potential.
While he only made two Premier League appearances last season, it arguably says a lot that they came against Manchester City and Manchester United.
They have signed Junior Firpo this summer. And if they sign another central midfielder, Stuart Dallas should be able to provide more cover at left-back.
But losing Davis could be a potential blow.
However, it appears that Leeds have prioritised his future by allowing him to leave this summer.
