‘Nightmare’: Dion Dublin says Arsenal have three players that would be horrible to play against

Arsenal beat Sevilla on Tuesday evening, and, as ever, the Gunners’ attacking players were the stars of the show.

Gabriel Jesus was Man of the Match, Gabriel Martinelli grabbed himself a goal, and Bukayo Saka was as solid as ever down the right flank.

Arsenal ran out as worthy winners in Seville, and their attacking prowess was certainly on show.

Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Dion Dublin has been hailing the attacking trio, claiming that they must be an absolute nightmare to play against as a defender.

Arsenal attackers a pain to face

Dublin spoke about Saka, Martinelli and Jesus.

“He does so much apart from score goals. He holds the ball up, works so hard, he’ll chase it down. Defenders know when they’re playing against Jesus, Saka, we know what he does and Martinelli is a goal threat with a lot of pace. They tick three very different boxes as footballers and defenders will have a nightmare against them. If Mikel Arteta can play these three players as much as possible they will score a lot of goals,” Dublin said.

How can you stop them?

Dublin is spot on, these three are an absolute pain to play against.

Saka, Martinelli and Saka all have slightly different attributes, and when they combine, they’re absolutely deadly.

Yes, you could probably find a way to stop one or two of the three players, but when all three are fit and firing, they pose an almost unsolvable problem.

If that isn’t enough, they usually have Martin Odegaard sitting just behind them playing some of the best passes you’re likely to see from a Premier League footballer this season, unlocking defences at will.

Arsenal haven’t really gotten into their attacking groove so far this season, but, when they do, they will be a frightening team to say the least.
