Wolverhampton Wanderers have been touted as a potential destination for Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi this summer.
The Argentine ace has slipped down the pecking order this season, with Pep Guardiola mainly preferring Aymeric Laporte and John Stones at the back for the Citizens.

It’s been a fall from grace for the former Valencia man, who was one of the outstanding defenders in 2017/18, making it into the PFA Team of the Season.
As reported by Goal, although Otamendi is not desperate to leave the club, he would be ‘open’ to a potential transfer.
And Wolves are named as a possible new environment for the player, who is represented by none other than Jorge Mendes.
TBR’s view
Although Otamendi is no longer a regular for City, he remains a solid defender.
The ball-playing centre-half would certainly be a solid addition for Wolves, who are trying to show their ambition.
He would be an upgrade on any one of Conor Coady, Willy Boly and Ryan Bennett, and has some experience playing in a back three.

Otamendi, signed for £32 million back in 2015 (BBC Sport), has been a good servant for City but perhaps it could be time for him to move on.
The potential stumbling block is that he has a contact until 2022, meaning City could potentially demand a high fee for the 2018 Premier League winner.
