‘Nice confidence boost’ – Wolves fans celebrate as Helder Costa bags debut goal

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Helder Costa netted on his Portugal debut.

The 24-year-old wasted no time endearing himself to Portugal fans, scoring the opener in their 3-1 win last night.

In a friendly match against Scotland at Hampden Park, Costa was handed his debut and he took the opportunity.

Just before half-time, Costa arrived in the box to slide in and convert a low cross.

It set the visitors on the way to a comfortable victory over the Scots in this game.

Wolves fans know all about Costa’s abilities. The Portuguese winger is in his third season with the club and thriving.

He is a regular starter for Nuno Espirito Santo in the Premier League.

And Wolves fans will be hoping that he can use this game as a confidence boost for the league.

The former Benfica wide man is yet to score his first goal for Wolves this season but he is off the mark for Portugal.
