Next Spurs manager: Some fans react to Graham Potter stance reports
A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Sun hinting that Graham Potter would not be interested in becoming the next manager at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Of course, fans are growing increasingly anxious about what direction the club are going to go in as they await an appointment.
It was reported during the week that Nuno Espirito Santo is the leading contender – but only after serious thought had been given to targeting Potter.
It remains to be seen who is appointed as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor.
But it seems that it will not be Potter.
According to The Sun, Brighton would want £15 million for Potter and his backroom team.
And it appears that the 46-year-old would not be particularly keen to make the move to North London anyway.
The report claims that Potter has set his sights on a top four job. And he is prepared to stay with the Seagulls in the hope of building his reputation further.
‘I’m 100% sure Pep’s shaking’: Some Spurs fans react with Potter unlikely to become next manager
Obviously, it is difficult to criticise Potter for being particularly ambitious. And it may well be that the Brighton boss does not quite feel that way at all.
Nevertheless, the report has prompted a strong reaction amongst Spurs fans on social media.
Some have joked that Potter is some way short of that level. Others meanwhile, have taken the reported stance as an indicator of how far Spurs have fallen.
With that in mind, here is what some of the Tottenham fans make of the reports…

If he keeps it up, he’ll be managing a top four club in the Championship.

Did I just see a relegation manager state that he wouldn’t accept us unless we were top 4? I know we are far from perfect but I think he needs to adjust his standards.
