West Ham have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Roma centre-forward Edin Dzeko in the summer – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are excited about a potential deal.
According to Sky Sports, the Serie A club have offered the Hammers the 33-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window.
The striker is still under contract with Italian giants Roma until 2020, but has been given a possible switch back to the Premier League.
Dzeko is familiar to English audiences after winning twp Premier League titles with Manchester City and is a powerful target man in attack.
The Bosnia internatonal has 13 goals in just 34 games across all competitions for Roma this campaign, with five of his strikes coming in the Champions League.
He’s also chipped in with eights assists this campaign and is showing no signs of slowing down just yet despite his age.
West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini previously worked with Dzeko at the Etihad Stadium, but it’s unclear on if he will be keen on a reunion next season.
Felipe Anderson is the club’s top scorer with 10 goals across all competitions this term and there is a lack of attacking firepower.
Goal machine Dzeko certainly has proven himself over the years as a fox in the box and he’s a beast in the air.
Here are some West Ham fans discussing the possibility of having Dzeko next season:
To replace AC?? Your mad to turn him down!! Next level! Ok he’s old but still.. nice back up!

He’s better than anything we’ve currently got

Seriously I would take him all day long. We can still invest in a young striker. Looks like Carroll has gone so like for like the difference will be he will play 75% of the games whilst Andy played 5% of the games. Take him and Maxi Gomez. Sorted!

I’d take him, still scored 19 goals this season. As a back up option to Gomez, alongside Hernandez and promote Silva to 4th choice ?

I’d 100% take him
