Newcastle Untied host Watford on Saturday in the Premier League and they are desperately still searching for their first win after the opening 10 rounds of fixtures.
Rafael Benitez’s side need to be on the front foot at St James’ Park at the weekend and try to get themselves out of the relegation zone with a positive result.
But they will need to be at their best when they come up against seventh-placed Watford, who have been in scintillating form this campaign.
They have accumulated 19 points in the league already as it stands and have a number of brilliant individual talents.
Watford’s standout player has to be Argentinian Roberto Pereyra and Newcastle right-back DeAndre Yedlin should be fearful of his individual battle with him.
Pereyra has the technical ability to give most full-backs in the Premier League the runaround on his day and that could well happen to Benitez’s mainstay Yedlin.
The 27-year-old left-winger has already scored five league goals this season and his ability to go either way with his dribbling makes him extremely difficult to defend against.
He’s in such fantastic touch right now that he’s confident in the final third and Newcastle may need to double up on him when they are out of possession.
Full-back Yedlin, 25, does have the pace and defensive qualities to put up a good fight against Pereyra, but it would be foolish to leave him exposed too many times one-on-one.
