Leicester City midfielder Adrien Silva has told the club he wants to leave the King Power Stadium before the end of the January transfer window, according to the Guardian.
They report that Foxes boss Claude Puel is not actively looking to offload the Portuguese international, but will not stand in his way now he has his heart set on a move away, because of his lack of gametime this season.
Silva is apparently prepared to move on loan, which could create a bargain opportunity for potential suitors in pursuit of a player who cost a reported £22m when he first arrived in 2017.
Newcastle United could do with a cut-price deal, after their chase of Atlanta’s Miguel Almiron ran cold, and it looks as if Rafa Benitez is shopping exclusively for loans at this moment in time.

There aren’t many classier options on the loan market than Silva, who was highly-rated at Sporting, and of course has international experience.
He usually operates in a deeper position than Almiron but has the class to make the Magpies fans forget all about him and can play further forward to offer Newcastle a touch of class and guile.
