Liverpool’s hopes of bringing in Alexander Isak have just suffered a key blow.
TBR Football understands that Isak is training away from Darsley Park as Liverpool prepare a Premier League record-breaking offer for him.
Isak has agreed a contract with Liverpool worth a reported £260k-per-week, and now contacts between the two clubs are expected to commence.
However, the Toon have made it clear that they will only sell the striker on one condition, and the likelihood of that condition happening has just decreased.

Newcastle won’t sell Alexander Isak if they can’t sign Benjamin Sesko
Newcastle United have made it clear that they won’t sell Alexander Isak if they are unable to sign Benjamin Sesko or another top-tier striker, as per Craig Hope.
The Magpies’ hopes of landing that top striker have just suffered a key blow as Sesko favours a move to Manchester United.
Sesko’s decision is expected soon, although currently, he is leaning towards Old Trafford, meaning Newcastle could close the door on Isak’s sale.
Hope told his YouTube channel: “They’re still fighting. Benjamin Sesko hasn’t decided on his future, but my information is that there is a feeling that Manchester United might just be the player’s preferred destination.
“But then, because Newcastle do want him, the flip of all of that is if they can’t get Sesko and they can’t get that big ticket player that number nine to come in, well then they won’t sell Alexander Isak.
“It’s got to be on Newcastle’s terms, this has been a consistent message on and off the record from Eddie Howe and those above him, so I think tonight’s development increases the odds of Alexander Isak staying with Newcastle.”
Newcastle have other targets on their list and will start work elsewhere should Sesko leave for the Red Devils.
Rodrigo Muniz added to Newcastle’s list of targets
Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz has also been added to the Tyneside club’s list of targets, according to the Newcastle journalist.
Nothing serious has been discussed yet, but Eddie Howe’s side have been told that a deal for the Brazilian would likely cost around £40m.
TBR Football understands that Aston Villa and Tottenham are also tracking Muniz, who has just 12 months remaining on his contract in West London.
“Now, what else do we know on strikers? This is a new name I brought exclusively tonight, Rodrigo Muniz at Fulham,” added Hope.
“Nothing major, there’s no high-level talks, as of now, but my information is that contact has been made at intermediary level, and a fee of around £40m has been mooted. I’ve had it confirmed that he’s on the shortlist.”
Yoane Wissa and Nicolas Jackson also remain on the shortlist, alongside Muniz and Sesko.
