Journalist Luke Edwards has suggested that he would not be at all surprised to see Newcastle United target a future move for Pedro Neto, with plenty of sides already keen on the Wolves star.
Pedro Neto has been in unbelievable form for Gary O’Neil’s side this season. The 23-year-old has contributed eight assists in just 12 Premier League games this term.
He has, unfortunately, had his injury problems during his time at Molineux. But his talent is obvious. And with that, a host of teams are monitoring his situation.
Newcastle targeting Pedro Neto would not be a surprise
Arsenal are monitoring Neto. Meanwhile, Neto is also on the radar of Manchester City. And Wolves fans must be wondering just how long they are going to be able to keep the youngster on their books.

Speaking on the Transfer Gossip Daily podcast, Luke Edwards suggested that Wolves’ resolve to keep Neto is likely going to be tested in the near future. And he hinted that he could see Eddie Howe wanting Newcastle to be in the mix for his signature.
“I think Neto is going to be a fantastic signing for someone and I think Wolves are another club who have had their profit and sustainability rules worries,” he said.
“I think a lot of people are looking at Neto, he has played over 100 games in the Premier League now and whenever I see Wolves play I love watching him.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Newcastle are interested in Neto, I think a lot of clubs in the Premier League will be.
“Wolves won’t want to lose him but I just wonder if that’s a player who will outgrow where Wolves are as a club and I think a lot of the big boys, a lot of the rich clubs, will be interested.”
Portuguese will be the ideal target for many Magpies fans
Neto would have the potential to be an ‘incredible‘ signing for Newcastle in the future. Obviously, the Magpies have struggled to kick on this year due to a raft of injuries.
But when everyone is fit, they have an outstanding group of players. And the quality is only going to improve over the coming years.
There is speculation that Miguel Almiron could leave Newcastle this month. And while it is hard to see Neto going anywhere in the next week, you could understand if some Magpies fans felt that he would be an ideal replacement to the Paraguayan at some stage.
