Newcastle United beat Huddersfield Town 2-0 on Saturday to make life more comfortable for the Magpies in their quest to avoid relegation.
It is has been an inconsistent campaign for Rafa Benitez’s men but this latest performance will offer promise.
The Magpies have lost once in their last five outings and supporter optimism is on the rise.

It was the club’s number nine who came up trumps yet again on Saturday, with Salomon Rondon notching his seventh league goal of the season.
The Venezuelan has taken some time to get going at St. James’ Park but he is now firmly established as the focal point of Benitez’s attack.
The 29-year-old is on loan from West Bromwich Albion and his permanent arrival must be a transfer priority this summer.
The Magpies boss had wanted to sign Rondon on a full-time basis at the start of the season.
The club weren’t keen, however and baulked at the £16.5 million release clause due to the player’s age, according to Shields Gazette.
Rondon’s form in the famous black and white to date now makes the valuation look a snip.
The striker has contributed eight goals and three assists in all competitions and his work rate is unrivalled at the club.
The Magpies might not be able to attract the very best players, but Rondon is a player that supporters can relate to.

His commitment and work rate are not in question and over the course of the 2018/19 campaign he has scored some massive goals for the club.
Newcastle have been thrifty with their cash of late but Rondon’s release clause represents real value for money.
