Newcastle United are set to join the race for Juventus rebel Adrien Rabiot once their Saudi-backed takeover is completed.
That is according to a report from TuttoJuve, who suggest that the Magpies are set to battle Premier League rivals Arsenal and Everton in the hunt for the player.
Rabiot is believed to want a move away from Turin this summer after failing to have the impact expected with the Bianconeri.
Rabiot, who according to the Daily Mail is on £120,000-a-week at the Italian giants, is all set to leave after a fallout between his agent, who also happens to be his mother, and the Juventus hierarchy.
Previous reports have suggested that Rabiot likes the idea of playing for Arsenal whilst reuniting with Carlo Ancelotti, who gave him his debut at PSG, has made Everton the favourites for many.
But TuttoJuve has suggested why Newcastle might be the favourites.
It is claimed that the Magpies would be able to offer Rabiot the best wages to come and play at St James’ Park once their takeover is completed.
Rabiot is undoubtedly set to be tempted by the riches apparently on offer on Tyneside and Newcastle will now hope they have a decent chance of snapping up the mercurial French dynamo in the summer, ahead of their Premier League rivals.
