Newcastle United forward Yoshinori Muto needs to find his feet quickly.
The Japan international will supposedly take ‘around a year to settle’ into life at St. James’ Park.
That’s according to his manager Rafa Benitez, who has been speaking to the Shields Gazette.

Muto has made five substitute appearances for Newcastle so far, but has failed to make much of an impression.
He has never been afforded more than 25 minutes by Benitez. With Salomon Rondon currently sidelined, there could be a chance for Muto to finally announce himself.
‘Some players, they need one year’
Regarding Muto, Benitez has said that some players need time to embed into new surroundings.
While this is true, it’s still slightly concerning for Newcastle fans. He said: “Some players, they need a year. Some players, they need six months. Some players, they need one month.
“For a new player, you always have to give him some time.”

With one month having already passed, Newcastle fans will be hoping Muto can get comfortable quickly.
Struggling Magpies
Newcastle need Muto to arrive because the team are really struggling in the forward areas again.
They have only scored four goals in the Premier League so far and haven’t looked all that threatening. Admittedly Newcastle are slightly unlucky to still be without a win at this point, but they are where they are.

Newcastle need picking up, and workhorse Muto could be the man to do just that – he needs to try and settle ASAP.
From now until Christmas, Newcastle do actually have a favourable run of fixtures.
It’s an ideal time for Muto to find his feet and help the team get some points on the board.
