A debut goal from Ryan Fraser ensured Newcastle United reached the third round of the Carabao Cup at the expense of Blackburn Rovers last night.
The Scottish winger completed a free-flowing counter-attack to fire the Magpies into the next stage of the competition.
Newcastle boss Steve Bruce chose to ring the changes ahead for the game against the Championship outfit and goalkeeper Mark Gillespie was one who caught the eye.
The 28-year-old arrived at Newcastle in the summer on a free transfer from Motherwell and will provide the goalkeeping ranks with some competition.

He has previously spent time with Walsall, Carlisle United and Blyth Spartans during his career but is now playing for his hometown club.
The capable custodian was in decent form against Blackburn too and fans took to Twitter to discuss his performance after the game.
It wouldn’t appear as though Gillespie will play much this season but Martin Dubravka’s injury has allowed him a chance to shine.
Karl Darlow will play in the Premier League but Gillespie might now keep his place for the Carabao Cup ties.
Following last night’s solid debut we looked at a selection of Tweets from supporters on his performance.
